3. What We Don't Collect

Our Power BI visuals do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. They operate entirely locally, within your Power BI environment, with no network calls to our servers or to third parties.

Specifically, our visuals do not collect:

• Your identification data (name, email, IP address)
• The data you visualize in your Power BI reports
• Your usage or behavioral data within Power BI
• Any information about your organization or colleagues

4. How the Visuals Process Data

SDMPBI visuals process data exclusively locally, within the context of the Power BI report open in your browser or Power BI Desktop application. All rendering, calculation, and display operations are performed on your device.

Your Power BI report data never leaves your Microsoft environment and is never transmitted to Socio Data Management.

5. Licensing System

Our visuals use a cryptographic license key system (RSA-SHA256). The license key is validated locally by the visual using the browser's Web Crypto API, with no network call. No personal data is transmitted in this process.

When purchasing a license on our website (socio-dm.com), billing information is processed by our payment provider Stripe. This data is subject to Stripe's privacy policy and is not directly accessible by the visuals.

6. Third-Party Services

Our visuals are distributed via:

• Microsoft AppSource — Distribution and installation are managed by Microsoft. Data collected during this interaction is subject to Microsoft's privacy policy.
• Stripe — Used only on our website for payment processing. Not involved in the operation of the visuals.

7. Data Storage

License data (client name, expiry date, list of authorized visuals) is stored in our secure database hosted in France. This data is protected by encryption and is only accessible to authorized Socio Data Management staff.

Retention period: license data is retained for the duration of the license validity and 3 years after expiry for accounting purposes.

8. Website Communications

If you contact Socio Data Management via our website socio-dm.com, we may collect contact data (name, email, message) in order to respond to your request. This data is subject to our general privacy policy.

9. Your GDPR Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Our Power BI visuals are professional tools intended for businesses. They are not intended for persons under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any data from minors.

12. International Transfers

License data is hosted in data centers located in the European Union. No data transfers to third countries occur in the operation of the visuals. For payments processed by Stripe, transfers to the United States may occur in accordance with the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

13. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal data is collected
• Right to request deletion of your data
• Right to non-discrimination

15. Power BI Embedded and Enterprise Environments

In Power BI Embedded or Power BI Premium environments, our visuals work the same way: all operations are local, no data is transmitted outside your Microsoft environment. Your organization's privacy policy and Microsoft's apply with respect to the hosting of your Power BI tenant.
